The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are now open and will shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house using a combined gross home earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined household money won't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 nsfas check for each annum.
